RYA Windsurfing School

Reactive's RYA windsurfing school is based at the Mount Batten Watersports Centre (across the water from our shop). We can teach up to advanced planning techniques.

The RYA windsurfing school has been open since 1996. It has excellent parking, changing + shower facilities as well as a bar/restaurant on the waters edge.The school equipment is never more than 1 year old. We use the new shape light/wide boards, which are really stable and make learning to windsurfing alot quicker. The rigs we use are also really light and easy to uphaul.


Courses:
Taster session
1st hour £22, 2nd consecutive hour £18 Saturday mornings 10 AM
Why not have a quick go if you've not tried windsurfing before, just a basic stand up and go session includes all equipment. 

RYA start windsurfing course
2 x 4 hours session. Each session costs £60 per person.
Covers from launching equipment, sailing upwind and downwind, gybing and tacking as well as rigging techniques, safety and rescue procedures, sailing and equipment theory.
After you have completed your start windsurfing course you will be provided with a free evening voucher to join us on a friday windsurfing club night where you can put your new skills to the test. This will enable you to practice what you have learnt with an instructor and safety boat available.

Class Sizes
We have no minimum number of people in a class
Maximum 4 people
Generally there are less than 4 people in a class so plenty of individual tuition is given.
